Algae In Fish Tank

How do I stop algae from growing in my fish tank?

You could add to the water a product that prevents and controls the growth of algae in your fish tank. Our range of algae growth inhibitor products can be viewed here.

Algae does require a lot of sunlight to be able to grow, so also try moving the tank away from windows or direct sunlight.

  1. How do I calculate the correct size filter for my fish tank?

    1. Hi Sharon,
Ideally you want your fish tank filter to be filtering all tank water 4-5 times an hour. Therefore the correct filter depends on the size of the tank. So for example, for a 20L fish tank you need a filter that filters between 80-100 litres per hour.
      I hope this helps.
