I have a couple of gold fish that have some black spots developing on them. How do I treat this?
Black spots that develop on fish is usually due to the larvae of parasitic digenetic flukes. These parasites are brought into the tank by snails. To clear it up you need to remove the snails from the tank and this will break the life cycle. The black spot should then clear up, however some cases may need an antibiotic treatment.
