Can dogs be allergic to grass?

Have you ever wondered if dogs can be allergic to grass? In this video veterinarian Dr Glenn explains that it is actually common for dogs to be allergic to grass. Red inflamed skin, scratching, biting and licking paws are all common signs of an allergic skin reaction. This reaction could be caused by direct contact with the grass or an atopic allergy caused by inhaling grass particles. Treatment of grass allergies can be complicated. As Dr Glenn discusses there are different medications, shampoos, topical treatments and supplements that are available to help a dog with a grass allergy.
