Anal Gland Problems in Dogs

Does your dog scoot? Drag their bum on the floor? Or constantly licking their bottom? Or perhaps there is a very bad fishy odour coming from them? It could be an Anal Gland problem.

It isn’t the nicest topic to discuss but in this video Dr Glenn talks about anal glands in dogs. From what are anal glands, what their function is, to the different problems dogs can have in that area and how to know if there is an issue. He also discusses how anal glands are expressed (although better left to a trained expert) and what you can do to help them function normally.
