Worming Puppies

My bitch has just had puppies. When should I worm them and what product should I use?

As a general guide puppies should be wormed 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks after birth or as per the recommendations on the label of the product you are using. The bitch should be maintained on her normal worming schedule once the puppies are born.

For ease of administration to puppies select a suspension/syrup type product such as Drontal Puppy Worming Suspension for the initial worming (eg at least the 2 and 4 week worming) before then transitioning to a tablet or spot on style wormer (eg Revolution for Puppies & Kittens is a spot on type product that treats for intestinal worms, heartworms and fleas and can be used on puppies and kittens from 6 weeks of age).

Our complete range of intestinal worming products for dogs and puppies can be found here.
