How Often Do I Need To Worm My Dog

How often do I need to worm my dog?

A good intestinal worming regime is to worm your dog every two weeks from two to twelve weeks of age, then once a month to six months of age and then every three months for the rest of their lives. If you are using a combined intestinal and heartworm preventative it will need to be given monthly. You should always check the product label for instructions or speak with your veterinarian if you have any concerns

All heartworm preventative tablets must be given monthly. Heartworm preventatives must be started before six months of age, otherwise the dog should see their veterinarian to have a heartworm test prior to starting any heartworm prevention. Most heartworm tablets are safe to use from six weeks of age, however do check the product labels prior to use.
